Singalila National Park or The Sandakhphu Trek as popularly know, ranges from 200mts to 3600mts. The habitat varies from bamboos, oaks, to rhododendron. The trek which starts from Manebhanjan is a spectacular birding trail, which can be covered in 3-5 days.
The intesresting birds here are Blood Pheasant, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Himalayan Griffon, Steppe Eagle, Golden Eagle, Spotted Nutcracker, Plain-backed Thrush, Rufous-breasted Bush Robin, Blue-capped Redstart, White-throated Redstart, Eurasian Treecreeper, Buff-barred Warbler, Blyth's Leaf Warbler, Black-eared Shrike Babbler, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Fulvous Parrotbill, Black-throated Parrotbill, Alpine Accentor, Robin Accentor, Brown Accentor, Pink-browed Rosefinch, Dark-rumped Rosefinch, White-browed Rosefinch, White-winged Grosbeak, Little Bunting.

Approx travelling time: Maneybhanjung or Tumling-the base camp is 2 hrs and 4 hrs drive from Darjeeling respectively. Birding in Singalila involves 5 to 6 hrs walk everyday on an average.
